UK online promotion and ticketing platform, Fatsoma Ltd, have launched their own customer-facing event listings portal. The is consistent with their social ticketing solution as it gives promoters access to the thousands of online reps.
The portal is not only used by customers to search through the hundreds of promoters and venues already selling tickets through the Fatsoma platform, but also has functions for reps to sign up and search events that they want to recommend to their friends.
Paul Stacey, Director of Fatsoma Ltd, explained, “Each rep is given their own customisable ticket page which will list all events they’re representing. They will even have their own URL, such as www.fatsoma.com/paul/, through which they can sell tickets to all their friends. When a customer buys a ticket from that link or ticket page the rep is paid commission at a rate set by the promoter.”
Once customers have bought tickets, they too are given the option of becoming a rep and recommending the event to their friends via their own ready-made ticket page in order to earn a commission per ticket sold.
With previous innovations into Facebook integration allowing reps to sell tickets via tabs on their Facebook profiles, as well as financial incentives provided for reps who introduce new promoters to the platform, the Fatsoma team aim to provide a social and viral ticketing solution to respond to the rise in the role social networking plays in organising events and now in selling tickets.
Stacey continued, “The latest developments complete our all encompassing platform. This will encourage more promoters to use Fatsoma, which in turn attracts more reps to push events, who bring in the customers and allow ticketing to go viral. This is truly a social alternative solution to current online promotion and ticketing services available.”
To date, Fatsoma have over 4000 registered reps, selling hundreds of thousands of tickets. Clients include UK promoters Propaganda, Mission, Warehouse Project, and Rough Hill, iconic Manchester venues Fac251 and Sankeys, and Sony artists such as Chipmunk.
