New York Mets Luxury Seats Almost Gone

This is the final year of exsistance for New York Mets stadium Shea stadium and sales have already started for luxury boxes at Citi Field.  As of last week 49 of the 50 boxes had been sold and there was a great deal of interest in the 50th.

When the Mets first began to build Citi Field they were banking on an increased demand for the luxury boxes because they ended up cutting out 12,000 seats from the 59,000 seat capasity of Shea Stadium.  The Box Suite have lease terms of between 3 and 10 years and run at a cost of $250,000 to $500,000 per year.  Even though they are cutting out 12,000 seats they are adding more premium seats and decreasing the amount of cheaper bleacher seats.

Make sure you get your New York Mets Tickets when the arrive at Citi Field in 2009.

Bassist Hints At Cream Reunion

Bassist Jack Bruce of the popular band, Cream, has said there may be a chance the band could reunited once again for a show.  This would be the second time the band has come back together for shows.  The first time came in 1993 when the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame.  The second and most recent time was in 2005 when they played showing in New York and London.

On October 3, Bruce is going to be the recipient of the achievement award by cymbal maker Zildjian at the Royal Festival Hall in London, ENG.  Both Bruce and guitarist Eric Claption has yet to commit to a performance at that event.

“I know there’s a good chance we may play at that event,” Bruce told Billboard, “but I don’t want to overstate it and make it into something it isn’t.”

Stay tuned to Event Ticket News to find out about a possible renion and about buying Cream Tickets

Jessica Simpson Will Head On Her Country Tour

After recently making the switch from pop to country, Jessica Simpson will go on tour to support the upcoming September 9 release of her album, “Do You Know”.  Simpson is not only showing her talents as a singer on this album but she also wrote all but three tracks including a song that is currently in the Billboard top 25, “Come On Over”.

Simpson is embrasing the change to country music.  In a recent press release she states, “Every single song is a piece of my heart … who I am.”  She also says, “I’m not what everybody thinks that I am. Believe it or not, I’m a simple country girl. I might buy expensive shoes, but, I’m definitely a simple country girl and this album will hopefully give people a sense of who Jessica is again.”

One of the three songs not written by Simpson is, “Do You Know”.  Dolly Parton give a helping hand in this one including not only writing it but also helping in the vocals.

Fleetwood Mac To Tour In 2009

No dates have yet to be announced but according to Billboard, Flletwood Mac will be hitting the road early in 2009.  Guitarist Lindsay Buckingham has a solo album being released on September 16 just after he is to begin his own tour in Saratoga, CA.  This will be Fleetwood Macs first road trip since they were promoting the album, “Say You Will” back in 2003 and 2004.

There have been on again, off again rumors that Sheryl Crow will be joing the tour.  Crow came out a few months ago saying this but lately Billboard has nixed the rumor.  Crow would be an excellent complement to Stevie Nicks now that fellow vocalist, Christine McVie, is no longer with the band.

Stay tunes to find out when Fleetwood Mac Tickets will gone on sale later this year.
