Brooks and DunnLegendary country music group Brooks & Dunn suprised the country music world by announcing that they had decided to go their separate ways after their upcoming 2010 Last Rodeo tour.  The specifics of this tour will be announced in the future.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn announced their news in a breif statement on the groups website.  ”After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it’s time to call it a day.”

“This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed…. We owe it all to you, the fans,” the duo continued, adding, “If you hear rumors, don’t believe them, it’s just time.”

On September 8 the duo will releasea compilation album, ”#1s…And Then Some.”  2007 marked the groups final studio album when they released, “Cowboy Town.”  That album reached #13 on the Billboard top 200 chart.

Together, the country stars have recorded 23 number one singles and won more than 80 awards. Among their No. 1 hits are “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “My Maria,” and “Only In America.”

Music is set to go on like normal because the group is currently out on their 2009 Cowboy Town tour.
