Wicked which is one of the most popular shows ever to hit the Broadway stage will soon end its run at Gershwin Theater in New York City.  If you were unable to see it in New York it will still be running at the Ford Center for Performing Arts in Chicago and Until January 9, 2009 at Pantages Theater in Los Angeles.  Then Beginning in January 2009 Wicked will head to the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco.

Wicked has easily become the best performer in regards to ticket sales having been seem by over 2 million people.  At first it received somewhat of a chilly reception by critics but then ended up winning 10 Tony awards in 2004 followed by 6 Drama Desk awards.

No announcement has been made on the casting for the San Francisco show.  It will be directed by Joe Mantello.  Stephen Schwartz will be in charge of music and lyrics.

The Broadway play Legally Blonde, which is a make off of the Reese Witherspoon movie, will officially hit the road beginning on September 23, 2008 in Providence, RI at the Providence Performing Arts Center.  The tour will last one year and end up in Costa Mesa, CA on September 20, 2009.

Tony Award winning director who has directed the play on broadway will also be the productions road director.  The show has been a consistant fixture on the list of top broadway shows.  Casting will be announce shortly and stay tune for more tour stops.
