Later this month Metallica has been announced as one of the headlining acts for the KROQ-FM Weenie Roast. The annual weenie roast will be held on May 17 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, Ca.
Metallica is set to release a new album this September and rumors are swirling that they are planning a North American tour for this fall.
On June 5-8 country music’s biggest stars will begin flocking to Nashville’s LP Field for the 2008 CMA Music Festival. Artists include: Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry and Kenny Rodgers.
Tickets went on sale this past weekend for the 37th annual show. Ticket prices are $40 for all reserved seats and $30 for General Admission.

August 1-3 in Chicago will once again be a busy time for the music scene as Lollapalooza is scheduled to take place and the lineup has been announced. Some of the headlining names include; Radiohead, Kanye West, Rage Against the Machine, and Nine Inch Nails. Other acts that will be a part of the 120 group festival are, Wilco, Love and Rockets, Gnarls Barkley, Bloc Party, The Black Keys, Broken Social Scene, Flogging Molly, Mark Ronson, Cat Power, Lupe Fiasco, The National, G. Love & Special Sauce and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings.
The Early bird 3-day passes have already been sold out. On sale right now for $190 is the advanced 3-day pass and when that sells out the Regular 3-day pass will go on sale for $205.
Lollapalooza was started in 1991 by Farrell and traveled around the country until 1997. From 1997 Until 2003 Lollapalooza disappeared. It has now made Chicago home until at least 2011.
