Eventbrite Announced “Eventbrite for Causes”

By admin On February 23, 2010 No Comments

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2010 — Eventbrite, the fastest growing social commerce company, today announced Eventbrite for Causes, a new program that makes it easier for non-profits to leverage technology and best practices to manage, promote, and raise money through successful events. The program, which includes a special non-profit rate, is open to all US-based non-profits with 501(c)(3) status.

Eventbrite for Causes is already used by a number of organizations such as the Craigslist Foundation, the Full Circle Fund, as well as a number of Haiti earthquake relief efforts. “Using Eventbrite for Craigslist Foundation’s 6th Annual Boot Camp was a great experience,” said Arthur Coddington, senior program manager at the Craigslist Foundation. “Nonprofit organizations of all sizes will benefit from the ease of use, cost effectiveness, and comprehensive feature set, not to mention great customer service.”

Eventbrite provides an easy-to-use, elegant and simple way to handle all aspects of the event management process, creating a social commerce platform that empowers event holders of any size or scale to more easily and effectively reach the people that care about their events. Non-profits who use Eventbrite are able to easily collect donations online, spread the word to promote the event through a multitude of social channels, and track the event’s progress with real-time tracking and reporting.

Additionally, participating non-profits gain access to a community-at-large resource portal that connects them with other non-profits for best practices discussion. This creates a knowledge base of expert advice, dedicated newsletters, instruction on the use of technology and tips intended to help non-profits take full advantage of Eventbrite.

“Given the difficult fundraising climate, managing and hosting successful events is becoming more important to non-profits’ development efforts. However, they often lack the internal resources, technical know-how, or use of the web for promotion and fundraising efforts to achieve these goals,” said Kevin Hartz, CEO of Eventbrite. “Eventbrite for Causes renews our commitment to this community and empowers non-profits with a set of tools and resources to take their events to the next level.”

Eventbrite for Causes partners with other companies such as Salesforce, Google, PayPal, and Mailchimp who are dedicated to empowering non-profits to leverage technology to achieve their goals. For more information about Eventbrite for Causes, visit http://www.eventbrite.com/npo

YESpay and Spektrix Form Partnership to sell UK Theatre Tickets

By admin On February 9, 2010 No Comments

London, ENG (YESpay, Spektrix) 8 February 2010 - Theatres and other arts venues are increasingly deciding to move away from traditional, locally hosted ticketing and payment solutions by outsourcing their payment processing services and moving to web-based ticketing solutions. Leading box-office solution provider, Spektrix, have
joined hands with YESpay International Ltd to assist theatres nationwide with their ticketing and payment processing requirements.

Increasing pressures for PCI compliancy have lead to high associated costs and issues which are difficult to overcome when managing systems in-house. Spektrix has developed a fully supported, redundant and resilient ticketing solution, which meets these challenges. It is fully integrated with YESpay’s EMBOSS solution, which is end-to-end pre-accredited and fully PCI compliant removing the responsibility of arts venues to go through the time-consuming and costly accreditation process themselves.

Another challenge that theatres face when managing payments in-house is the high costs
accumulated by investing in and managing expensive hardware. The Spektrix/YESpay solution eradicates this need as the service is entirely outsourced.

Phil Norris General Manager of the ADC Theatre in Cambridge has commented on his choice of the Spektrix/YESpay solution, “We wanted a fast, reliable and easy-to-use box office system that removed the need for large amounts of IT hardware and was up-to-date with PCI compliancy.”

As e-commerce is becoming increasingly popular among arts venues, easy integration to existing websites is required. The Spektrix and YESpay solution offers easy integration to both e-commerce sites and Chip & PIN devices, putting it at the forefront of fully-integrated ticketing and payment solutions in the UK.

Clare Moss, Box Office Manager at the Bush Theatre says, “We have been so impressed with the approach, integration and support provided by Spektrix and YESpay that we are encouraging other venues we work closely with to consider the solution.”

About Spektrix

Spektrix is an innovative and fully-featured hosted ticketing solution for the arts. Spektrix helps venues to increase audiences through seamlessly integrated online sales and powerful CRM functionality. With no upfront costs and true scalability, Spektrix is suitable for venues of all sizes.

Spektrix was set up to fulfil a need for highly functional, cost-effective and easy to use ticketing software. It follows the “Software as a Service” model, allowing venues to reduce their ongoing overheads related to IT infrastructure, and reducing the amount of time venues need to spend managing the technical aspects of their box office, allowing them to concentrate on what really matters – maximising sales and improving the customer experience. www.spektrix.com

Rockhouse Partners Started by Former Ticketmaster Executives

By admin On February 9, 2010 No Comments

NASHVILLE, TN (Rockhouse Partners) February 2, 2010 – Today former Ticketmaster Entertainment executives officially launch Nashville-based Rockhouse Partners, on the heels of the largest merger approval in music industry history. The technology-based entertainment agency will focus on connecting sponsor brands to consumers in the music and sports industries through digital marketing strategy, online/offline activation programs, and new digital products, along with data aggregation and analysis.

Co-founders Tawn Albright, Kevin Brown, and Joe Kustelski bring to Rockhouse Partners 40+ years combined experience in technology, digital media, consumer products, ticketing, live entertainment, artist management, promotions, start-ups, advertising, and Fortune 500 brands. The trio met at Echo, Ticketmaster Entertainment’s digital marketing firm, where Albright served as CEO, Brown led Strategic Marketing, and Kustelski was Vice President of Product & Technology.

“From my days at The Coca-Cola Company in corporate development to Ticketmaster and Echo where we managed the digital presence for more than 250 artists, festivals, and properties; sponsorships have become the glue in connecting brands to the entertainment industry. The way the industry is moving, brands are demanding more value in the form of measuring data and proving ROI. We see a major opportunity to activate brands and fans in a meaningful, relevant, and interactive way,” stated Albright.

Rockhouse Partners’ initial clients include C3 Presents (Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival), Lance Armstrong and the RadioShack Pro Cycling Team, Next BIG Nashville, the Tennessee State Fair, Nashville agencies like redpepper, and other entities across the entertainment vertical. The company’s target clients are sponsorship brokers, live entertainment properties, brands and their agencies, sports entities, advertising/marketing firms, and media companies.

“We can’t say enough great things about Rockhouse,” said Courtney Graber, Director of Sponsorships for C3 Presents. “They have the unique ability to grasp digital strategy and technology at the highest level, combine that knowledge with an in-depth understanding of brand sponsorships, all the while being able to manage and measure the most critical success metrics.”

While collaborating at Ticketmaster/Echo, the Rockhouse Partners founders fine-tuned their eye toward data by managing 15 million consumer database relationships, 200,000 paid fan club subscriptions, one million mobile fan records, and more than $25 million in ticket sales annually.

“We launched this venture hell-bent on not creating just another digital marketing firm. We’re creating scalable technology products that address specific business opportunities, we understand the value of data, and we bake measurement into everything we do,” said Kustelski.

In addition to Rockhouse Partners’ initial clients, the company has formed partnerships with Nashville entities including American Songwriter magazine and email marketing firm Emma; along with Austin-based design/development shop Smith & Robot.

“The response so far to our unique model has exceeded all expectations. We’re busy growing the team, building out our technology platform, and we’re beyond excited to take this next step,” said Brown. “2010 looks bright as we’ll be focusing on business development, with programs planned at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin and the annual IEG Sponsorship Conference in Chicago.”

Rockhouse Partners also looks to further support Nashville’s business and music communities. Albright serves on Mayor Karl Dean’s inaugural Music Council, Kustelski led the creation of Nashville’s first Entrepreneur Center through the Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Technology Council, and Brown spearheaded Digital Nashville’s marketing team.

About Rockhouse Partners:

Rockhouse Partners is a technology-based entertainment agency focused on sponsorship creation, activation, and measurement for the rapidly-changing music and sports industries. To activate is to set in motion, to make more active, to organize/create, or to accelerate a reaction. And that’s just what Rockhouse does. The ingredients typically include digital marketing, technology and digital products, the highest-level of business strategy, data aggregation and analysis, a whole lot of intellectual curiosity, along with partnership models and new venture creation… but the recipe is never the same. In short: Rockhouse CREATES, MANAGES, and MEASURES every element within the sponsorship life cycle.

Digionex and Cleveland Cavaliers Partner For Dynamic Pricing Consulting Deal

By admin On January 28, 2010 No Comments

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (Digonex) January 28, 2010 – Indianapolis-based pricing software developer Digonex Technologies, Inc., today announced that that the Cleveland Cavaliers will be the first sports franchise to leverage its Sports & Entertainment Analytical Ticketing System (SEATS), which was launched in November 2009.

While sports teams and franchises have traditionally used a tiered-pricing structure, which is set at the beginning of a season, unexpected factors throughout the season are causing teams and franchises to evaluate alternative ticket pricing structures and technologies that enable them to demonstrate their commitment to the fans.

SEATS is a fully automated commerce engine that analyzes sales data and provides price suggestions based upon econometric and behavioral principles. SEATS takes a customizable approach, making use of dozens of parameters to evaluate ticket sales and offer price recommendations.

“Our technology helps sports franchises stay in sync with an ever-changing marketplace and provides a fair-to-all pricing solution that benefits both sports teams and fans,” said Jan Eglen, Ph.D, CEO for Digonex. “We are thrilled to be working with the Cavaliers to help them understand how our technology can positively impact the franchise and extend loyalty to their fans.”

“We are excited to be working with Digonex on this initiative,” said Mike Tomon, vice president of ticket sales & service for the Cavaliers. “With the SEATS system in place, The Cavaliers organization will offer a value-based pricing system driven by fan demand in the market.”

SEATS will perform an analysis on fan based pricing structure for single games and will make instant price recommendations to the Cavaliers for selected games and other Arena events. Digonex plans to begin working with the Cavaliers following the All-Star break.

Digonex Technologies focuses primarily on development of automated and optimized dynamic pricing platforms for e-commerce, allowing client companies to increase customer retention and maximize revenue. For more information, visit Digonex Technologies’ Web site at www.digonex.com.
