Fleetwood Mac Releases Tour Dates for 2009 North American Tour

Fleetwood Mac

One of Rock and Rolls classics, Fleetwood Mac, has announced dates for their first tour in five years.  The 2009 shows will cover North America.  The shows get started on March 1 in Pittsburgh, PA and will run through March 26 in Toronto, ON.

The group will play 15 shows and all of them at large venues throughout the US and Canada.  Tickets are scheduled to go onsale to the public on December 15 with presales beginning earlier.

In a statement made by all four band members they said, “We love our band and think the title of the tour ‘Unleashed’ perfectly describes how we all feel when we get on stage together — especially in 2009.”

A few months ago when we reported on the rumors of a new tour we had mentioned reports that Sheryl Crow could be used to step in for the retired vocalist Christine McVie.  That rumor was quickly dismissed and has never resurfaced.

To celebrate the upcoming tour, Fleetwood Mac will rerelease the hit 1977 album, “Rumours” as a special CD/DVD box set.  This will also contain a few tracks that have previously never been released as well as some video footage.
