Jack Johnson Brings Back Kokua Festival
After taking 2009 off Jack Johnson will bring back the Kokua Festival in 2010. The festival will help support Johnson’s foundation, The Kokua Foundation. The festival will take place over Earth Day weekend on April 23-24 at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, HI.
Johnson will be the festivals headliner and he will be joined by Ziggy Marley and Taj Mahal.
This will be the sixth year for Johnson’s Kokua Festival which help benefit environmental issues. The Kokua foundation was founded by Hawaii native Jack Johnson and his wife and it helps promote environmental education in schools and communities.
Johnson is gearing up for his newest album to be released on June 1 and is also preparing a world tour which will be announced in March. Johnson’s last album”Sleep Through the Static,” was released in 2008 and reached #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
