James Taylor and Carole King Announce 2010 Troubadour Reunion Tour Dates
Both James Taylor and Carole King made their name known with a performance at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA. The duo has announced that they will celebrate the fortieth anniversary with a tribute tour.
The duo will get things started across the pacific with shows in New Zealand and Australia for five dates and then heading to Japan. Currently the only show schedule in the United States is a May 14 date at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. Expect additional North American and European shows to be announced very soon.
“When James and I first played together in the early seventies, we connected immediately, both musically and personally, with an effortless, comfortable familiarity,” King said in a statement for the upcoming tour.
The upcoming tour will also include the three supporting musicians from the shows in 1970. Guitarist Danny Kortchmar, bassist Lee Sklar and drummer Russ Kunkel. The shows will consist of songs from both musicians list of songs and also a few of the original shows from the Troubadour show.
