Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton Announce Second Show in London For 2010
Legendary guitarists Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton recently announced that they would join together and play in London, England at O2 Arena on February 13. They have now decided because of such great demand that they will add a second show to take place on February 14, 2010.
The duo made the decision to play together again after having so much fun during a two night show in Japan earlier this year.
“Eric and I played together in Japan earlier this year and had a blast. Since then we have been in regular contact and talked about doing a similar show for our fans,” Beck said in a report announcing the first 2010 show.
Clapton also added, “I’ve always considered Jeff Beck to be one of the finest guitar players around. He’s a friend, a great guy, and a truly gifted musician. We had such a fun time in Japan that it seemed natural to play together again.”
In a recent statement on Clapton’s website he stated the both of the shows will include solo sets and then the two of them will end the shows playing together.
Recent rumors have started swirling that the two are in talks for a major co-headlining tour for 2010 that would bring them to the United States. Neither of them have publicly discussed these rumors however.
