Kenny Chesney Starts Announcing Dates For 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour
One of country music’s biggest names, Kenny Chesney, is beginning to announce dates for his 2009 tour. As of today he has announce 40 or the estimated 50 dates to be scheduled. Only a couple of the cities have announced venues. Chesney will kick things off on April 17-18 with shows in Uncasville, CT.
Chesney has scheduled dates for major cities such as Chicago, Houston, Dallas and Philadelphia. Unlike last year when Chesney performed in only stadiums this year will be a little different. ”We’ve got a bunch of football stadiums because that is an experience like no other, but we’re also going to do some amphitheatres and arenas…and knowing us, we’ll probably pop up in a bar or two along the way.” Chesney said in a press release on his web site, adding, “What’s important is getting out there, and bringing the music to life.”
Joining Chesney on the road this summer with be Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum. Chesney will be touring in support of his October 2008 album release of, “Lucky Old Sun.” The album reached #1 on both the Billboard top 200 and the country chart.
