Leonard Cohen Will Tour Europe This Summer
Just as Leonard Cohen kicked off the North American leg of his tour the folk musician has announced that he will perform more than 30 shows in Europe this summer. He will kick off the summer trek with a July 1 show in Cologne, Germany and it will extend through a September 24 show in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The last time Cohen made stops in Europe was last year when he broke his 15 year absense from the public stage. For those in Europe who are planning on attending this years tour, they will have a lot to expect. His US shows so far have been timed at right around three hours and have included two different sets.
A recently review by the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, MN had this to say after his show at Orpheum Theater. ”This was deeply satisfying, tantric concertizing by the Jewish Buddhist monk. And the worshipful sellout audience responded as if it were having a religious experience at the House of Cohen.”
