Roosterfly Makes It Easy To Compare Secondary Ticket Market Prices

Year after year the secondary ticket market grows by an astounding rate and it is becoming harder and harder for consumers to find the best prices for event tickets. This is where Roosterfly.com comes to the rescue. Roosterfly is hoping to make the buying and selling of tickets a little bit easier.
The Alabama based company is co-founded by Joshua Brennard, John Lucas, Bucky McMillan and Michael Neimkin. The main focus of the website is to combine the tickets of the leading ticket companies to provided a quick and easy resource for consumers when purchasing tickets.
“John Lucas came to me with this idea eight or nine months ago,” Brennard said, “It just makes sense to have this for the secondary industry, especially where prices fluctuate all the time.”
Over the past months the four founders and lead Programmer Randy Ayers have worked to develop Roosterfly which imports real-time ticket inventories. This is not only beneficial for ticket brokers to help sell tickets but also offers consumers a real-time way to find out where to purchase tickets for the best price available.
Currently the sites inventory comes from the biggest names on the secondary market including Stubhub, TicketNetwork, TicketsNow and TicketCity. Roosterfly is currently in talks with other sites to join.
“We feel it’s a win-win for all parties involved. For the brokers out there, we have the backing to promote their tickets. For us, it’s a win because we collect an affiliate fee (for each sale),” Brennard said. “For the user, it’s about getting the best tickets available without any extra charge. The price they see is what they’ll pay.”
At the current time Roosterfly is still in its “Beta” stage. This is so that they have a chance to get any possible bugs out during the working stages. The founders are growing a rather large following on sites such as Facebook and Twitter and are now considering a iPhone application.
