StubHub Lands Offical Sponsorship With Jersey Boys
One of Broadways biggest shows and one of the secondary ticket markets largest companies have joined forces. StubHub has become the official reseller of Jersey Boys tickets. In the past StubHub has teamed up with sports and concert but this is their first step into theater productions.
Included in the terms of the deal, StubHub will increased promotion of Jersey Boys on their website and in the storefront of their Times Square Store. StubHub will also pay a Sponsorship fee. Jersey Boys have also agreed to promote StubHub as a perfect solution for fans needing tickets.
Since the production opened in November 2005, Jersey Boys has been one of the hottest show on and off Broadway. Tickets have been in extreme high demand and usually sell out shortly after going on sale.
“Our box office frequently does not have seats for a ticket buyer’s preferred performance,” Jersey Boys producer Michael David said in a recent statement. “Now, StubHub can offer a safe opportunity for online transactions between the ticket buyer and the person who cannot use their previously purchased ticket.”
“Not only is this an exciting first for StubHub, but it signals a significant change of mind on Broadway. ‘Jersey Boys’ is poised to pair one of the most popular theater productions in America with the most popular secondary destination for tickets in the world,” Chuck La Vallee, head of music and entertainment business development at StubHub, said in a statement.
