Taylor Swift 2009 “Fearless” Tour Dates Announced

Taylor Swift has finally announced her much rumored first headlining tour that will take place beginning in February 10 in San Antonio, TX. She will only have a few shows through the end of April and then things will get going at full speed. Swift will have 52 stops on the tour including shows in Chicago, IL, Cheyenne, WY and Houston, TX.
Swift is one of country musics rising stars. Since the release in November of 2008 her “Fearless” album has sold over 2.4 million albums and has been in the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart for 8 weeks. That is the longest run at #1 by any musician in 13 years.
Joining Swift on tour will be her good friend and American Idol contestant, Kellie Pickler.
“Headlining my own tour is a dream come true. This way I can play more music every night than I ever have before,” Swift said in a recent interview. ”Having written my own songs, they are all stories in my head, and my goal for this tour is to bring those stories to life. My favorite thing when I go to a concert is having lots of changing things to look at, so I’ve been working really hard to make this tour as multi-dimensional as possible. I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to come see my show, so we have affordable tickets for each show we do this year.”
