The Killers Set Up Tour Dates Across North America
The year The Killers have been playing random events through the US, but they have announced they will once again play a set tour early in 2009. They will play 14 shows in the US and Canada starting on January 17 in Denver, CO and ending in Grand Prairie, TX on February 4. More shows might be added as we get closer.
The Killers who have mostly played in smaller venues in the past played a show in New York Cities Hammerstein Ballroom on October 24th that quickly sold out. This has shown that the attraction power of the band is growing and so is the type of venue that they are going to play at. On January 25 they will be playing at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The upcoming tour will be in support of the November 22 release of their third studio album titled, “Day & Age.” The last album which was released in 2006 is certified platinum and reached as high as #2 on the Billboard top 200 chart.
